QLD POLICE AND QLD ROAD RULES
We have had great support from QLD Police, Council and Main Road’s however they have asked us to ensure that participants adhere to the QLD Road Rules. Unfortunately we had a few cyclists in previous years that did not obey the rules and caused a few issues and concerns with QLD Police.
The QLD Police will be more present this year and have advised us that they will be issuing fines to those participants who break the road rules. They will be recording rider numbers and will be liaising with us to identify riders and will issues fines that may also include demerit points.
Like us, QLD police they want our event to be a success and would like to see the event grow, so they want to ensure that all our riders are acting in a safe and responsible way.
PLEASE REFER TO THE QLD CYCLING SPECIFIC ROAD RULES
